Fox Street Preschool is a local early learning centre in Ballina looking to update its website to better support families, staff and new enrolments. The existing site no longer reflected the preschool’s values or made it easy for parents to find important information, so the focus was on clarity, accessibility and ease of ongoing management. What We Did We designed and built a new website tailored to the needs of a busy preschool environment. The project included: Ballina web design and development for a local education provider Updated site structure to improve communication with parents Clear, welcoming presentation of the preschool and its programs Support for new student enrolments through clearer calls to action Custom post types to organise content such as news, updates and key documents The website was structured to serve both prospective families and existing parents without becoming cluttered or confusing. Designed for Non Technical Staff A key requirement was that the site be easy to manage in house. We implemented custom post types and a simplified editing experience so non technical staff can update content confidently without relying on ongoing developer support. This ensures the website remains current and useful over time. Communication Focus The new site improves how information is shared with families, making it easier to publish updates, important notices and general information. Navigation and content hierarchy were carefully planned to reduce frustration and help parents quickly find what they need.
